To secure your Maui condo rental reservation, please send a deposit for each week or partial week of your stay: $750 for Mahana 1009, $500 for Napili Shores A 103, Paki Maui 408, and Mahana 412, or $300 for Papakea C 107. Please place the name of the property and reservation number on your check. Full payment is due ninety days in advance of the occupancy date.
Any CANCELLATION must be made first by telephone, followed by a confirming email. Your deposit money will be forfeited. A refund of the rest of the amount that has been paid will be based on the number of nights we are able to rebook.
As we get closer to a date, we may discount the regular rate in order to fill dates still available. We will not be able to refund payment or reduce a rate already agreed upon. If this happens to you, please understand that you were able to have your choice of dates when you made your reservation and we are endeavoring to juggle all of our expenses and not have empty rooms at the last minute.
We recommend travel insurance since once final payment is received, refunds will only be issued if we are able to rebook your vacation nights. You may want to consider hvacation.com Travel insurance protects your deposit as well as the balance of your accommodations cost.

Air Conditioning Lock-Off Policy
When we first bought Papakea C 107, it was our vacation home year after year, and although my husband and I both loved air conditioning which was especially important for me as I have a skin condition that worsens with perspiration, units at Papakea were not air conditioned. We loved leaving the door open, wearing shorts and going barefoot on the grass and the beach and going home feeling like we had had an island vacation. Then the company that managed Papakea gave in to pressure from travel agents that they needed air conditioning to sell the units - not because it was necessary, but because people on the mainland thought it was necessary.
We thought people would enjoy the sliding doors open and use the a/c only when it was really hot - in our experience maybe a short time in August - and it would not be a problem. However, we found that people automatically used the a/c, left the sliding doors shut when they were there as they found it when they checked in and left the a/c on when they went out for the day. Consequently, we started getting enormous electrical bills. So now we are only going to air condition it for our summer high season (late June through Labor Day weekend) without additional cost to our nightly rental rate. For the rest of the year, we have locked it off, not providing it as an amenity to your nightly rental. Should you wish to avail yourself of the a/c, you may order it with your reservation or, once you are in the unit, call Luretta and she will unlock it. You would then need to give her a check for an additional $50/week which is our cost over the normal cost of electricity.
Thank you for your understanding of our attempt both to provide you with the finest Maui experience and provide for our little enterprise which we hope will one day be the basis of our family retirement. As I am sure you realize, this is also our attempt to keep our rates as low as possible and pay all of our bills. Mahalo for your understanding! Sue
