The tropical splendor outside your Unit C-107 beckons you to explore. Let’s take a stroll out the sliding glass doors, across your lanai to the edge of the koi pond in front of your unit. My husband loves to stand on the little bridge and watch the calming motion of the many different colored koi in the pond. Now look out over the grounds of Papakea and enjoy the manicured grounds, the colored flower beds, the putting greens, and coconut palms.
Walk over to the Molokai Pool tiled to appear as if you are swimming with beautiful fish. Take a dip in the pool or relax in the hot tub or sauna. Papakea offers swimmercize lessons three mornings a week in addition to yoga lessons. Or you can check out shuffleboard or putting equipment from the Front Desk and play with the ocean waves roaring right beside you. You can barbeque and picnic by the pool while you enjoy the never-ending waves that roll into Papakea’s beach.
You are in Phase 1 of Papakea and there is a mirror image Phase 2 a few steps away with further tropical gardens, theLanai Pool, another 18 hole putting green and oceanfront shuffleboard.
Being able to park immediately behind C 107 is great for convenience, and being able to walk out the sliding glass doors of your ground floor unit will be your route to the pools, the ocean, and even neighboring restaurants to which you can walk. Because Papakea is on the edge of Kaanapali Beach, you have accessibility to the wonderful pool side dining at neighboring restaurants only a few minutes away. Wonderful benefit of Papakea is that there is no through traffic on the property.
My husband and I love to split our weeks in the restful, secluded, economical garden unit of C-107, followed by an ocean-front experience at the Mahana, Napili Shores, or Paki Maui.
Your Papakea unit blends seclusion and a garden rest with the convenience of being right across the street from the full grocery store, the Star Market, a snorkel shop, delicatessen, Mexican Restaurant, real estate office, coffee shop, therapeutic massage, newspaper and book store, fish market, sub shop, Italian restaurant, fishing and tackle shop, and many more.
You can drive a short way to a choice of championship golf courses – Kapalua or Kaanapali or take a ferry to the island of Lanai for the Challenge of Manele. Or stay at Papakea and play tennis on one of three lighted courts. Your choice of water activities is endless. It’s hard work having so much fun, so you may want to relax in one of Papakea’s lawn chairs to enjoy the amazing sunset at the water’s edge, before exploring one of the many nearby outstanding restaurants for dinner.
Since the readers of Conde Nast just voted Maui the number one travel destination in the world, you may want to end your day by walking in nearby Lahaina and “people-watch” those visitors from around the globe, while you enjoy the interesting shops and creative art galleries of this historic town.
